In math we practiced some store shopping. We looked up prices of items we were purchasing and then figured out what it would cost if we bought more then one of those items at the store. The kids need to finish the math boxes on the back side of this page. We are wrapping up Chapter 7 and they are doing a SUPER job with it. I am really pleased with their MULTIPLICATION right now.
In Science we looked at some of the different foods enjoyed in the Japanese culture. We made edameme and some Japanese noodles. We also tried Hi-Chew candies. Most of us REALLY liked the snack and learned lots about how a dinner table might look if we were eating in Japan. Not only was Suki's kimono a little different then what we are used to, the way she may eat is not like what our family dinners might look like either.
For tonight they ALL need to practice that living museum piece for tomorrow and find their costumes. All of the classes will be visiting our museum and I am really EXCITED to see how well we do!
For homework they may have:
1. journal page (math boxes)
2. morning work (reading workbook page)
3. common and proper noun reading center sort
4. reading center seat work packet
Have a GREAT evening! Enjoy that SUNSHINE!
