I say "POTLUCK" because that's what it felt like by the end of the day! We took care of so many things it was unbelievable! We started the day with a class meeting to discuss just how IMPORTANT it is to turn work in ON TIME! For the past couple of weeks my chalkboard has been completely FULL with name of kiddos who have work that needs to be finished up. It is time for PROGRESS REPORTS and I couldn't begin to put these together until some of this missing work was taken care of so we spent the MAJORITY of our morning getting things handed in and we discussed how this should be the LAST time we have to do this. I am really trying to emphasize the importance of doing things when they are assigned. In our discussion I even pointed out today that the fourth grade teachers won't appreciate our class not being responsible so we need to start practicing HABITS that those teachers will be HAPPY with. I am EXCITED that my chalkboard is ALMOST cleaned off now! I have even decided to include a picture of it in my blog tonight because we worked SUPER HARD to get it looking this way today!
| We also spent time finishing our WHALE pictures that we have been working on this week. Some of them turned out GREAT and some of them are VERY, VERY close to being finished. While pictures were being wrapped up, those kiddos not qualified for our AR celebration were busy reading and taking tests, trying to finish earning those points. Some of them learned a TOUGH lesson about NOT waiting until the last minute today. I normally won't take the time I did today to help them with this because it is something they should be working toward the entire month, but since we were having a potluck kind of day they got LUCKY and were able to get the points they needed.

Kate Haines has been our PLAYER OF THE WEEK this week. She is ALWAYS super helpful in the classroom taking care of what she needs to get done and then helping others with what they are working on. I appreciate her GREAT EFFORT and SUPER ATTITUDE so I am sending a BIG "GOOD JOB" out to her! Her mom brought in her dog, Bailey, to share with us today. EVERYONE loved Bailey and Bailey seemed to LIKE us all too! Kate shared lots of information about Bailey with us and even showed us a few tricks she has taught him! What a FUN way to spend our MTSS time today! This weekend please have them make sure they have finished: -journal page 91-92 -noun review morning work sheet -and ANY and ALL late work |
