We started a new story this morning and are learning all kinds of things about people with a different cultural background. We thought it was pretty neat to learn that America is referred to as a melting pot because of the diversity in our country. Tomorrow we are super excited to hear from Mrs. Kaur because she has recently been to India to be married and is going to share a little about the customs there and what her wedding festivities included. We are going to compare that culture to the three we read about today. It will be neat for us to hear from someone who actually has been to India!
In Math it was more work with fractions, but I am PLEASED to announce that the Easter bunny might have left some candy for us, but he also left our BRAINS because I had so many volunteers sharing math answers today that I even had to REWARD them! It was AWESOME! All most all of us could name equilvalent fractions and lots of us could add them too! WAY TO GO TOWN OF SWEETS!
Don't forget that this is the last week to collect for the color run! Our class is still in first place so I am starting to taste the YUMMY pizza already! The kiddos have a couple of notes about this for you tonight so please check their backpacks for blue challenge notes and for t-shirt forms!
Tonight they may need to finish up:
1. fixing a sentence for morning work
2. a reading vocabulary page
3. a smarty pants math fraction sheet
4. journal page 195-196
Have a GREAT evening!
