We did calendar book and spelling with the "ion," "sion," and "tion" hunk and chunks. Those hunk and chunk songs sure are fun this week! Tomorrow we start a new set of calendar book pages because it will be FEBRUARY! Wow the time is flying!
In Genius Hour, we are wrapping up a few SeeSaw projects. Please make sure you are carefully reading the directions and looking at Mrs. Jenkins's comments on your activities. This will tell you exactly what you need to do to make your work WOW worthy! One student was even smart enough to open 2 tabs on his computer: 1 that showed the directions and 1 that showed his activity. Then, he could switch back and forth to make sure he was doing everything Mrs. Jenkins told him to! Talk about a future 4th Grader!
In reading, we finished up some Symphony of Whales assignments because tomorrow is our SELECTION TEST! It may help some of you to listen to the story again on the website tonight and practice some of the vocabulary games. Rags to Riches is another great way to review for the test.
In math, we are still plugging away at our new module over fractions. Can you tell us how many equal parts there are in all for this picture? What fraction word do we use to describe these equal parts? Comment below for an extra dollar at Morning Meeting!
-we have our times test!
-we have our Symphony of Whales selection test!
-it is the last day for your math menu!
-we will hire new helpers!
-we will open our classroom store!
-it is a PLC day for your teachers, so there is no Prime Time!
Sounds like February will start off with a bang! See you then.
