At 9:00, Mr. Kyle from Erickson and Gill game to talk to us about how to take care of our teeth. He showed us how to properly brush. Did you know that if you drink soda it stays on your teeth for 20 minutes!? Whoops for Miss Wencel and Mrs. Jenkins! =/ He also made sure to tell us that we need to visit the dentist at least twice a year!
For math, we reviewed lines, line segments, and rays. We then discussed lines that intersect and lines that are parallel. We even looked around the classroom to find examples.
This week and next week, we will NOT be doing a reading story. We are going to work hard on Dr. Suess week, and then next week we only have 4 days of school.
This afternoon, we had our Glimpse In History show. The kids had such a great time dressing up like their person. Their puppets and posters were awesome! The kids learned so much about their person. In the next few days, there will be a rubric coming home that shows their grade for this project.
Last, we had our Citizenship Assembly. In third grade, Tristan and Destiny were our students of the month for caring. The high school basketball girls team visited us and discussed how they have to care for one another to be a team. They will be playing on Thursday in Substate, so we made sure to wish them luck! We then had a shot off against the high school girls. Eisenhower Citizens of the Month BEAT the high school girls!! We were sad to tell them we beat their undefeated season. =)
Hope everyone has a great evening! Homework packets were sent home today and will be due on FRIDAY! There will be no spelling this week. Next week we will have a Spelling Bee over ALL of our words! =)
