After lunch it was HOUSE challenge time! Boy was Friday's challenge tough! We were placed with our house on one side of a HUGE ocean with only 5 lilly pads to use to help us get our ENTIRE FAMILY across the ocean. That didn't sound too bad until we learned that if we fell off the lily pad and into the water we would be eaten by alligators or sharks! Yikes. The house who was able to get the MOST of their family across the ocean without being eaten would win! We quickly learned that SPEED was not our best friend. Some of us were gobbled up very quickly! Mr. Kody Wartick earned some extra beads for his honesty. And Story in second grade also earned some extra beads for her great encouragement! She had some super advice for some scared family members! What do you know... QUANTUM took first place, followed by animo and viribus both tying for second place. Integritas earned 10 beads for finishing but then also 10 beads because they were the only house who did their CHEER to help encourage one another along during the race! Awesome job EVERYONE! You'll have to check the board in the hallway on Monday to see what house is now ranked FIRST!
After specials we finished up our JAPAN lapbooks. Then we took our selection test over Suki's Kimono. Way to go Gracie, Isabelle N., and Bella F. ! You all scored a 19 out of 20 on the test! We will see if we can add to this list on Monday! Remember it is important to REVIEW before you take the test. We loved seeing text books out and lapbooks open when we returned from our meeting because that meant some of you actually took time to look up answers you weren't sure of!
In MATH you had some time to finish menus, work on TECHNOLOGY minutes, and then we took our MULTIPLICATION TEST. On MONDAY we are taking 3 people out for lunch for passing their 8's! WOO HOO!
We can't wait to see you all in the morning!
