After that, we spent an hour reviewing our story's vocabulary words because we have a Selection Test TOMORROW. Our vocabulary sheet is our PRACTICE for this evening. I told the students today that they need mom or dad to quiz them this evening over these words and then have someone at home sign this paper. This is an easy way for them to earn some READING points and an EXCELLENT way for them to review their words. If you are reading this blog, make you very own sentence with the word tides, bring it to me tomorrow, and you can earn another dollar.
At 11:00, we went back to the all-purpose room for our Hero Assembly to honor our veterans. We heard some great speakers share stories about their heroes, watched a video made by our students, and sang "God Bless the USA."
After a very short afternoon of music practice and LANDFORM project work, it was time for our Character Counts Assembly. We honored students who showed great amounts of respect all month long. For our class, we honored Josh - way to be respectful, Mr. Adams!
Tomorrow we have a Reading Selection Test over Hottest, Coldest, Highest, Deepest. Hope you are ready to work hard, because tomorrow we will be super busy so we can go on our fun WSU Shocker Field Trip on Friday!
See you tomorrow, super students!
