We started with our normal morning routine. People were busy getting their jobs taken care of, some of us still had to finish writing LAST weekś missed spelling words 10 times each and then we also had morning work waiting for us on our desk. Let me tell you what, after a crazy schedule this week of on again, off again school, we needed to get in here and get to work. We have lots of lose ends to tie up today! Most of us finished things up and then headed out to the all purpose room for some fun!
We went to 5th Grade businesses. It was our last time to go, but many of you got to play games that earned you some sweet prizes. After that was over, we did some QUICK math rotations with Miss Jamison's class. Instead of 30 minutes each, we did 15 minutes each. Everyone worked on their Museum room at Menu time, factor rainbows with me at teacher time, parenthesis at Practice Book Time, or you mastered your facts on Reflex and Zearn.
In the afternoon, took our multiplication tests, and did a PearDeck review over Mixed Up Files. It's important to keep the different parts of the story in our brains since we had so many ice days! I am very impressed with how hard everyone is working to understand this story. On Thursday this week we will take an AR test over the story and anyone who scores an 80% or better gets to travel to our own museum on Friday to see what Claudia and Jamie may have experienced.
We read Chapter 8 today and found out that the kids are going to see Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler in Connecticut! I can't wait for you to see what happens next. Maybe we will finally figure out why her files are mixed up!
Have a good weekend!
