We got to school this morning and took care of our CALENDAR BOOK for the VERY LAST TIME! WOO HOO! We officially finished it up for the year! They are in backpacks tonight! Then we ran through our entire TALENT SHOW act which is looking INCREDIBLE! DO NOT FORGET TO WEAR YOUR HOUSE SHIRT TOMORROW SO YOU ARE READY FOR THE SHOW! It starts at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon and everyone at home is invited to come and watch! The third grade class is the final act!
At 10 we loaded up on the bus and headed to the ZEKA FARM for a GREAT day! We started with some hay bale tag, jumping on the trampoline, and playing basketball. Later some of us dug in the sand, sidewalk chalked, played more hay bale tag, and decorated flower pots. Then a few of us had some water gun fights before lunch time! After lunch we took a few class pictures and then did a TALENT SHOW practice out there. Once we practiced we were hot and tired, so it was time for the WATER SLIDE and SLIP AND SLIDE which we had all been waiting for! We played in the water until the teachers said it was time for the annual CLASS VERSUS CLASS KICKBALL GAME! Boy was that a close game! Homeruns were kicked, double plays were made, and teams cheered and chanted for one another. In the end though Mrs. Day´s class WON and Mrs. Jenkins´ class had to keep their heads held high and shake hands congratulating the winners! Thank goodness both classes are good sports or this could have gotten ugly real fast!
After kickball it was WATER BALLOON time! This day just kept the fun coming and it was quickly decided that the first water balloon game was going to be a HOUSE CHALLENGE! Way to go QUANTUM because they were the winners and earned 30 house beads! Thank goodness for BLAKE R. because he hung in there for VERIBUS and took 2nd place so they earn 20 house beads. ANIMO and INTEGRITIS you both earn 10 HOUSE BEADS because you all finished the fight all right, by someone hitting you with a water balloon! LOL
After the house challenge it was JENKINS versus DAY again and this time Jenkins´ side stepped up their game. Double plays didn´t cost them the game in water balloons and they were able to finish on top.
With everyone cooled off we had just enough time to clean up the farm and find our shoes and shirts and then eat a popsicle before jumping on the bus! Again it was the BEST FIELD T!RIP EVER!
See ya in the morning!
