WOW! An AR party, a JAPAN day, NACHOS, and the CLASS STORE! What a GREAT day! We had a JAM-PACKED day. In the morning we took our multiplication test and some students had to re-take their spelling test. Then, the students who made their March AR goals got to celebrate by watching "A Cry in the Wild" based on the book "Hatchet," drink Sonic drinks, and eat popcorn!
In the afternoon, we opened our classroom store. Students received their ribbons from the track meet with Mr. Day, then we learned about Japanese foods. At 2:15, Miss Becker and her first graders joined us in learning all about Miss Becker's trip to Japan. We saw some amazing pictures and got to sample some Japanese foods, like sushi, noodles, edamame, and ginger candy. To top off the day, every student received nachos because someone anonymously paid a color run donation for each student!
It was a busy day, but it was a good way to end our week.
Next week our schedule looks like this:
Monday - review for the state assessment
Tuesday through Friday - Take one part of the state assessment each day
*Remember on these days getting a good's night sleep and eating a good breakfast is important. We've worked hard to prepare for these all year and Miss J. and I know you will do GREAT!
Thursday - Selection Test over Suki's Kimono
Friday - Spelling Test
