My oh my do I have a TON to tell you all at home! Here in the Town of Sweets we have been beyond BUSY! I really don't even know where to start! Today was a FABULOUS day and I want to send a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Shelter Insurance and Zeka Farms for helping to sponsor a GREAT trip to the Regent! The kids did an OUTSTANDING job and thought it was REALLY COOL that we were seeing the movie that was going to be played at the Wellington Regent this weekend! Being the first to see it is SO VERY NEAT for us! So THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this possible for our class!
We have also had Kisten share all about the adventures of Flat Kisten! She visited some AWESOME places and we all decided Kisten's aunt would be the first person we would call if we ever need FABRIC for something. Her designs were very INSPIRING and we absolutely loved them!
We were asked to SAVE the SCHOOL from some RADIOACTIVE EGGS and boy were we NERVOUS about it! But we stepped up to the CHALLENGE and SAVED Eisenhower! Way to go Town of Sweets! This was a really FUN day for us because while we were doing this we got the opportunity to work hand in hand with the fourth graders! It was amazing to watch each team collaborate to try and accomplish the mission with very few tools to use! I must say that if I am ever in DANGER these are kiddos I would call on to HELP me. They take their jobs very seriously and GET IT DONE!
I could go on and on! As you can see we here in the Town of Sweets have been keeping VERY BUSY and WORKING HARD! It has been a great week or so and I do apologize for not keeping this up every day! Finding time to fit everything in has been tough! Before signing off tonight I do want to THANK PTA for the STAR LAB we went to yesterday! It was a TERRIFIC experience for our kiddos here at Ike. We all LOVED crawling in and then looking up and seeing a starry filled sky! We learned TONS about the constellations and thought it was SUPER COOL! Each day time seems to go a little faster and we are working as hard as we can to fit as much as we can into the last couple weeks of school! I promise to keep you at home in the loop as I have time to blog! Have a great evening and try and stay DRY out there!
Our hope to encourage the children in our classroom to love learning the way we do. Through engaging them in meaningful activities we are certain they will develop a curiosity that will spark their imagination and cause them to want discover all they can while in third grade. We hope to be able to share, with those of you at home, everyday what we have accomplished in the classroom! Trust us, we will be doing AMAZING things!
